20 (East Hatley)

Bridleway 20 starts on the northern side of a small
plantation that runs along Bridleway 18, Croydon Old Lane, an ancient track
from East Hatley to Ermine Street. It starts at about 83 metres above sea level
(TL298519) and takes you north-northwest towards Hayley Wood. After about 300
metres you meet Footpath 19 which runs west-southwest towards Bridleway 3.
After about 200 metres you pass Hatley Wilds and then continue north-northwest
for a further 400 metres until you meet Hayley Wood. Bridleway 6 follows the
parish boundary between East Hatley and Little Gransden and runs along the
south side of the wood. East takes you to Bridleway 21 and Longstowe. West
takes you either back down into East Hatley or round the west of the wood up to
Gransden Lodge.
